While many audio tapes were coming to the hand of people about guessed DGFI interrogation of corrupt politicians like Abdul Jalil, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Waqil Chairman etc., none of any intelligence agencies has been seen to protest them. Neither DGFI, nor TFI has claimed these audio tapes as fake. If we come to consider that their silence is equivalent to acceptance of those tapes to the regime, if ears of millions like us have not betrayed, if audio devices of our computers haven’t run bad, for several times we have heard the name of Mr. Manzur Elahi and about his his son, who have been linked with Awami League President Sheikh Hasina by Gulshan Awami League’s Waqil Chairman in an illegitimate financial deal. Manzur Elahi, owner of the Apex Group was interested to get some impression of Sheikh Hasina over himself & his business as he wanted to raise the fund of Awami League or, Sheikh Hasina’s one personally. This entire process was patched up by Gulshan Thana Awami League leader Waqil Chairman via Awami League General Secretary Abdul Jalil. Many events like these, which describe financial collaboration between some of businessmen and party leaders, have been classified as extortion cases and most of the influential politicians of the country have been thrown to jail for such cases. Now, in an illegal transaction, the payer & the paid, both are guilty at same level, a child even knows this. But, Mr. Manzur Elahi, a son of ‘Syed Bangsho’, has not been brought to any judicial or law enforcers’ investigation due to his alleged involvement in illegitimate deals, rather on this very day, this ‘recently’ controversial personality has been appointed as the ‘administrator’ of top most business forum of the country, FBCCI.
It is obviously not like that, Manzur Elahi has been perfectly proved guilty, but the appointment of such controversial personality will turn this decision into a controversial decision. This will obviously deliver a bad consequence in the top level business atmosphere of the country. FBCCI, it’s already passing through a turmoil due to cancellation of polling abilities of Anisul Haque with four other members, now the decision of caretaker government to appoint Syed Manzur Elahi has definitely did nothing but sedition to the top most businessman’s forum of Bangladesh. I don’t know for what Manzur Elahi has been rewarded. From next Sunday, Manzur Elahi will be inside “Federation Bhaban” at Motijheel with his Nissan Patrol as the administrator, when Sheikh Hasina will be consulting her lawyers for their next course of action to fight for her innocence in extortion cases. These two scenes will emit a contrasting complexion, very much contrasting.
